Avenue Models About Avenue Models was established in 2005 by Javier Hernandez, the youngest agency owner in NYC.  He wanted to create an agency with a focus on quality and detail over quantity.  The name Avenue is derived from his vision of creating an agency that is a compilation of paths or ‘avenues’ of representation (i.e. high fashion, commercial, photography etc.). Javier started his career in the business as a model at the age of 12.  He worked with Future, Best One, Wilhelmina, Susan’s A+ and Ford.  He then went on to become a booker working at Elite, ReQuest and Boss.  Before opening Avenue, Javier was exclusive representative for Janice Dickenson, the world’s first supermodel.  In his two year relationship with Janice, he managed to revive her career by affiliating her with the runaway television hit, America’s Next Top Model.  Javier was also responsible for finding and convincing model Naima to participate in the show.  She then went on to win the competition.
